We celebrated a birthday dinner here and were truly impressed by the authentic Italian experience. We began with salumi platter featuring aged Galloni prosciutto, capocollo, and Wagyu—an absolute highlight. The main courses the veal cotoletta being a standout—crispy, tender, and cooked to perfection. We finished with some classic gelato, rounding off a fantastic evening. Service was flawless. Highly recommended for anyone seeking genuine Italian cuisine. perfetta ~

Stunning venue, the marble, the lighting, the bathrooms, but you sure do pay the premium for the ambiance. This is a fairly esteemed restaurant but I personally found everything quite salty. The steak, the calamari, the chips, the cotoletta… I was tempted by dessert but quite full so had to pass. A Sunday surcharge to top it off has you at $150 a head so perhaps a special occasion venue as opposed to the casual Sunday lunch we enjoyed

Definitely an interesting dinning experience. Called up early to make a reservation and to find out if any dress code was required. Was kindly told to 'dress comfortably' so wore a set of jeans and a jacket (nice jacket but not blazer and tie). The restaurant is very beautiful inside, fairly nice mood lighting and luxurious atmosphere. Service however was quite poor. Couldn't get the attention of the workers throughout the night and feel like it may be because of the way we dressed. Even when we were eventually served, the waitresses were quite blunt and rude. For Toorak food, the price was quite reasonable, definitely far from cheap but quite tasty so you pay for. The location was worth visiting, but for the price and service, maybe just as a once off.

Came here for lunch and ordered two appetisers, a main and a dessert. The meal started with complimentary bread and the appetisers came out pretty fast. The croquette was crispy with a rich creamy potato & smoked mozzarella filling, paired with a smooth basil mayo; and the sourdough fried pizza was soft and airy with a slightly crispy exterior, topped with ricotta cheese and pork salumi tomato sauce mix; both were tasty starters. The main dish I had was the veal cotoletta served bone-in with a side of green apple & cabbage slaw. The meat was thick but very tender and the breading was nice and crispy. Flavour wise it was simple with some salt flakes and lemon. The slaw was sweet and vinegary but was not refreshing as it was oversaturated with the dressing. For dessert, the tiramisu is served with a thin chocolate shell which holds all the layers in place. It was pretty good, sweet and creamy, more chocolatey than a standard tiramisu but lacked the coffee flavour, the savoiardi sponge was soft but was barely saturated with espresso. Overall it was a decent meal, staffs were friendly but it was a bit hard to get their attention to order dessert and pay the bill.

Love Cecconi’s! Staff are really attentive, love the ambiance here and the food too. Order the seafood pasta (best in Melb)! I also really like the chips too.
